Cedrx

Beyne-Heusay, Belgium

His headphone screwed on his ears since he is 3 years old, Cedr’x belongs to this new deejays’ generation native of Liège who are becoming famous.

As many of others, he is influenced by the “old” experienced ones. Dave Lambert, DJ Furax, Sven Lanvin or Yves De Ruyter are part of the deejays he had the pleasure to meet while he considers Martin Solveig among his favorites. Like him, he never hesitates to add personal touches coming from other tendencies in his essentially house mixes.

His difference? The experience and the talent!

Cedr’x begins in 2003. He began his career several years with the moving discotheque Fire Sound. When he was a teenager, he quickly had the opportunity to express himself during big events such as the Mega Dance Tour, and later, the City Parade or even the sunny “Oh Oui!” Beach.

The young man also discovers the world of clubs: Appart, Acte 6 or Versuz Pool Lounge. He even gets the clubbers of the mythical Real to dance, but the Millenium is the place he frequents the more often. He is regularly invited by D-Loy and by the one who is his mentor: Oli Soquette.

His pride? The Festimix!

Young talent during the two first edition of this festival in Liège, Cedr’x is now one of the organizers. And it is successful! Since its creation in 2005 by Oli Soquette, The Festimix gives young promising deejays a chance to pit themselves on stage against experienced performers such as Charles Schillings, Redhead, Bart Maes or Jona B, the Italian Maurizio Nari or even the brilliant Swedish Ida Engberg.

In 2009 and 2010 everything gathers pace …

He is seen a first time during a BeGlam night as first part of the famous producer Timbaland! A little bit later, when the Girls’ Monday of Oli Soquette sets up at the Barocco, they got the “kid” mixed up in the adventure, he has to deal with the warm-ups.

When the nights of the English label “Hed Kandi” arrive in Liège, Cédr’x takes control of the opening of the event while the “Oh Oui!” nights call on him to open the evening during a memorable night with Fedde Le Grand!

None of these performances went unnoticed and, very quickly, Pierre Kuppens proposed to him a first residence for the “Oh Oui!” nights as well as a second residence for the Nunu Club. While he’s at it, the Noxx Antwerp choses him to deal with one Saturday a month.

If you never heard of Cédr’x, you do not have excuses anymore! Don’t miss the opportunity to discover this young talented man and to enter, for the time of a mix or a night, his musical world …
