“MOVIDA CORONA 2012” COMPETITION

WHAT IS MOVIDA CORONA?

 

  • MOVIDA CORONA 2012 is a competition for International House Music DJs organized by the company GMODELO EUROPA, S.A.U. GMODELO – TAX Identification number (CIF) A80684111 – is registered  on the ground floor of Calle Pradillo 5, Madrid 28002, and in the Commercial Register in volume 6973, folio 19, book 0 and sheet number N-113428      (“GMODELO”).

 

The aforementioned competition is divided into three phases:

 

  • Phase 1ª: Play-offs.
  • Phase 2ª: National finals.
  • Phase 3ª: The European Grand Finale.

 

Annex 1, attached, is an spreadsheet listing the participating countries (updates of which can be consulted in www.movidacorona.com).

 

  • The objective of the competition is to discover and promote new talented DJs on the International circuit.

 

The aforementioned competition will be governed by the following

 

 

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

 

Prior to the start of the competition and in order to take part, interested parties must register their entry via the website www.movidacorona.com and accept the terms and conditions and legal requirements relating to MOVIDA CORONA 2012. The website and GMODELO´s Facebook application (www.facebook/coronaextraeurope) will be the only official and valid means of registering for the competition and participants will be required to formally provide the following personal details by completing the registration form: name, email address, password, name and surname, passport number, date of birth, country of residence and contact telephone number.

Number 1

MOVIDA CORONA 2012 is a competition for House Music DJs. DJs of other styles of music will not be allowed to take part in the competition because MOVIDA CORONA only promotes DJs that mix this style of music.

MOVIDA CORONA is a competition for individuals and duos will not be admitted.

 

Winners of past MOVIDA CORONA Grand Finals will not be allowed to enter again.

 

Once the registration period ends, new applications for the competition will not be accepted.

Number 2

All Participants must be at least 18 years of age or over (unless the minimum legal age for the consumption of alcohol in any participating country is different, in which case Participants will have to have reached at least the minimum legal age stipulated in that country and will be subject to the local laws) given that this competition is sponsored by a premium brand of beer.

Number 3

During the competition, the Participant agrees to promote CORONA EXTRA (CORONA LIGHT, CORONA BEER in Turkey or CORONITA BEER in Spain) at any hypothetical press event or interview in accordance with the reasonable instructions given by the promoter GMODELO and the Participant agrees to act accordingly.

Number 4

The Participant agrees that during this competition GMODELO will hold the exclusive worldwide rights, authorization and permission to use the names, nicknames, similarities, videos, photographs, clips, performances or other reproductions of the Participant for the purpose of the competition and in order to promote the competition, MOVIDA CORONA, CORONA EXTRA, CORONITA BEER, CORONA LIGHT AND CORONA BEER.

 

Therefore, all the Intellectual Property rights, options and interests related to the Participant´s participation in MOVIDA CORONA will be relinquished to GMODELO for their exclusive use. This will be done according to the law and/or the moral rights of the author. This consent covers all of the exploitation rights that include, but are not limited to, the public broadcast, distribution and transformation of the materials.

Participants will not receive any kind of remuneration or fee in return for this consent or authorisation.

The Participant ensures that the Soundcloud tracks used to participate in this competition were made by him/her without any third party collaboration that may affect the usage rights consent of these tracks which belong to GMODELO.

GMODELO ensures that the name, photos, videos and reputation of the Participant will not be used in any promotion or advertising activity that could be deemed harmful or offensive.

Number 5

All Participants in MOVIDA CORONA 2012 agree and accept to take part in any promotion and/or International production (film, photography, music) organized by GMODELO, Pachá, agencies collaborating with GMODELO, JWT or El Señor Goldwind.

All reasonable expenses relating to the above-mentioned activities, including travel and accommodation expenses will be agreed beforehand with each Participant.

Number 6

The technical rider will be supplied by the venue.

 

The use of computers and laptops is forbidden.

Number 7

All sessions must be live; total or partially recorded sessions will not be admitted.

Number 8

The organization accepts no responsibility for the loss of or damage to personal equipment.

Number 9

The time allocated to each DJ in the National finals is 30 minutes.

Number 10

The semifinals will be divided into 2 phases:

Morning (quarter finals):

The time allocated to each DJ in the first phase of the semifinals will be 10 minutes.

 

Afternoon (semifinals):

The time allocated to each DJ in the second phase of the semifinals will be 15 minutes.

 

Grand Finale:

The time allocated to each DJ in the Grand Finale will be 30 minutes.

Number 11

There will be 4 Participants in each of the National Finals, 10 finalists in the Semifinals and 3 finalists in the Grand Finale.

Number 12

Only one Participant per country will be selected to take part in the Semifinals of the Grand Finale.

Number 13

The three Grand Finale finalists will be selected during a pre-selection session of house music lasting 10 minutes per Participant, Phase 1 of the Semifinals (quarter finals). From this first phase, 10 Participants will be selected to go through to Phase 2 of the Semifinals from where the 3 finalists for the Grand Finale will be selected.

Number 14

Each Participant will be judged on three key categories: music selection, image/response from the audience, and technique.

Number 15

The judges´ decision is final and no discussion or correspondence will be entered into.

 

The jury for the 10 National finals listed below will include ***:

Austria
England
Germany
Spain
Belgium
Sweden
Italy
Denmark
Turkey

 

 

  • Tour DJ (30% of the total score)
  • A representative from GMODELO (15% of the total score)
  • A qualified representative from the Pachá Recordings label (40% of the total score)
  • The venue owner (15% of the total score)

 

 

In the rest of the National Finals, the jury will be made up of:

 

  • A representative from GMODELO (60% of the total score)
  • The venue owner (40% of the total score)

Number 16

The winner of each National Final will be announced before the party ends.

Number 17

The winners of the National Final will each win a trip to the Grand Finale and will be able take their manager, the venue owner or a companion of their choice with them. The prize includes flights, hotel accommodation and formal meals.

 

Hotel reservations are not transferable and may only be used by the winners.

 

The hotel may ask for proof of identification and may also request a personal credit/debit card to cover personal extra costs relating to the hotel room.

Number 18

The jury for the Semi-Finals will be made up of ***:

 

  • A representative from the Pachá Club (50% of the total score)
  • The winning DJ of the MOVIDA CORONA 2011 (30% of the total score)
  • A representative from the central agency (20% of the total score)

 

The jury for the Grand Finale will be made up of ***:

 

  • A guest International DJ (20% of the total score)
  • A representative from the Pachá Club (30% of the total score)
  • The winning DJ from MOVIA CORONA 2011(20% of the total score)
  • A representative from the central agency (20% of the total score)
  • And the public (interactive voting system) (10% of the total score)

 

Number 19

 

DJs will also be able to take part in MOVIDA CORONA 2012 without having to go through the preliminary rounds by enrolling in The Online Chance which will enable them to reach the quarterfinals directly via the website www.movidacorona.com. DJs will be able to earn votes from visitors to the website and the DJ that receives the most online votes will go will automatically go through to Phase 1 of the semifinals (quarter finals).  The prize will be the same as the one for the National finals, which is a trip to the Grand Finale with a companion including flights, hotel and formal meals.

DJs can load up to three sessions of Soundtrack in their www.movidacorona.com profile and the DJ selected will be the one who receives the most votes.

 

Website visitors will only be able to vote for their favourite DJ once per day. This will be monitored by GMODELO using cookies (as per the terms and conditions of the website or the user´s IP address).

 

 

DJs who have previously entered a MOVIDA CORONA event and have been eliminated from the Competition may take part again in the same via The Online Chance.

If the winner of The Online Chance also happens to be the winner of the country event and therefore a semifinalist, GMODELO will send take the next DJ with the most votes from this country and the National competition.

The winner of The Online Chance will be chosen on the following day: 23.10.2012.

The Promoter will keep all Participants informed of any unusual circumstances relating to this competition or the termination of this competition via the website www.movidacorona.com.
