WHAT IS MOVIDA CORONA?
MOVIDA CORONA 2010 is a European House Music DJ contest divided in three phases.
• Phase 1: Play-Off Rounds.
• Phase 2: National Finals.
• Phase 3: The European Grand Finale.
The aim of the contest is to detect and promote new talents in the European DJ scene.
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
In order to take part in the contest all Participants must sign the following MOVIDA CORONA Terms and Conditions.
Number 1
MOVIDA CORONA is a House Music mixing DJs contest. No other styles are allowed due to the fact that MOVIDA CORONA promotes only DJs that fit into this style.
Number 2
Due to the fact that the event is sponsored by a premium beer brand, all participants must be 18 years old or older (unless the legal drinking age of the participating country differs, in which case the participants must be of legal age on this country and are subject to local laws).
Number 3
During the term of the contest and during all related exhibitions, press interviews, or practices, Participant shall endorse CORONA EXTRA in accordance with such reasonable instructions as GModelo may give from time to time, and Participant undertakes to act accordingly.
Number 4
Participant agrees that during the contest, GModelo shall have the worldwide exclusive right, license and privilege, to use the names, nicknames, likenesses, videos, photographs, tracks, performance, or other reproductions of the Participant for the purpose of promotion, advertising and endorsement of MOVIDA CORONA and CORONA EXTRA.
In consequence, all the Intellectual Property rights, title, and interests, accrued in connection with the participation in MOVIDA CORONA by Participant shall be transferred in exclusivity to GMODELO. This transfer shall be made with no other limitation than those legally established and/or the reserve of authors’ the moral rights. This transfer includes all the exploitation rights thereto related, including but not limited the public reproduction, distribution and transformation of the materials.
No payment or fee shall be paid to Participant for such transfer and/or licence.
Participant assures that the tracks submitted via Soundcloud for his participation in this contest have been created solely by the participant, without the help of 3rd parties, ceasing the rights for the usage of the tracks to GModelo.
GModelo undertakes to ensure that Participant’s name, photographs, videos and reputation is not used in promotion, advertising or public relations activities, which are harmful or offensive.
Number 5
All Participants of MOVIDA CORONA shall be available for any international promotions and/or productions (photography and music sessions) made by MTV, GModelo and/or any third party involved.
All reasonable cost relating to such activities, including travel and accommodation, will be agreed with each Participant in advance.
Number 6
Technical rider will be provided by the Organization, in particular:
- Two PIONEER CD players,
- PIONEER Mixing Table, two (2) TECNICHS turntables and an effects mixer.
PIONEER, as official partner of MOVIDA CORONA may provide additional equipment for the development of an event during the same. No external devices brought by participants will be accepted on the DJ booth.
Number 7
All sessions must be played in real time; no pre-recorded complete or partial sessions will be accepted.
Number 8
The organization shall not be responsible for any loss or damage of Participant equipment.
Number 9
The length of the DJ set for the national finals will be of 30 minutes.
Number 10
The length of the DJ set for the European Grand Finale will be of 45 minutes.
Number 11
There will be four participants in each National Final and three in the European Grand Finale.
Number 12
Only one candidate will be selected to represent each country in the European Grand Finale*.
Number 13
The three finalists for the Grand Finale will be selected during a pre-selection house style session of 10 minutes for each contestant.
Number 14
Each contestant will be judged based on three major categories: technique, music selection and image/ public response.
Number 15
The judges’ decision is final and we will not enter into any correspondence. The jury for the national finals will be composed of**:
• Tour DJ (30% weigh value of total score)
• Corona member (30% weight value of total score)
• Club owner (10% weight value of total score)
• Central agency member (10% weigh value of total score)
• And the audience (interactive voting system) (20% weigh value of total score)
Number 16
The winner of each national final will be announced before the end of the party.
Number 17
Each national final winner will receive a Pioneer CDJ 2000*** and a trip to the European Grand Finale (including Flight, Hotel Reservation and formal meals).
The Hotel Reservation is personal. As a consequence GModelo shall not accept nor bear the costs for persons different of the national final winner.
The hotel may require you to show them photo ID you may also need to provide a credit/debit card swipe to cover any extra bills you may run up on your room.
Number 18
The jury for the European Grand Finale will be composed of:
• International Guest DJ (30% weigh value of total score)
• Club representative (30% weigh value of total score)
• Corona member (20% weigh value of total score)
• Central Agency member (10% weigh value of total score)
• And the audience (interactive voting system) (10% weigh value of total score)
Number 19
The prize for the winner of the Grand Finale will be announced on MOVIDA CORONA web.
In case of unforeseen circumstances, GModelo reserves the discretional right of changing the prizes of the present contest for any prizes of similar characteristics.
Movida Corona aims to help launch the professional career of the winning DJ, as such through the contest GModelo commits with Grand Finale finalists (1st, 2nd and 3rd positions) to support them in order to: (i) to play at the best House clubs in Europe (ii) to record their own CDs.
Number 20
After the Grand Finale three finalists, agree to play in the subsequent year, at least five (5) Sessions as “Official Movida Corona DJ”. The Sessions shall have absolute preference, and shall not conflict with any other events in which the finalist takes part.
Each Finalist, herein expressly agrees that any no payment or fee shall be paid to Finalist for such playing in that Sessions.
Number 21
In addition to the terms herein mentioned in Number 4, the Grand Finale winner shall also transfer all the exploitation rights of several of his own tracks to GModelo and Pias Recordings in order to include them in the annual MOVIDA CORONA Compilation (usage on y offline). In case that he doesn’t have any personal tracks and/or the necessary exploitation rights he will mix the compilation with Pias Recording’s own tracks.
The winner’s image as well as his tracks used in the MOVIDA CORONA Compilation CD shall be used on the MOVIDA CORONA website, in other CORONA EXTRA promotional materials, as well as in press communications.
Participant shall not receive any payment and/or for the above-mentioned rights. Each Finalist herein expressly agrees that any no payment or fee shall be paid to Finalist for such playing in that Sessions. The price and payment of such transfer is already included in the prize mentioned in clause Number 19.
Number 22
Participants are prohibited to drink any other brand in public other than CORONA EXTRA.
Number 23
The DJs shall act as “Goodwill Ambassadors” for CORONA EXTRA.
The organization will reserve the right to disqualify any DJ for:
- Intimidation, obstruction or abuse of fellow DJ’s, venue staff, promotional staff, customers or Judges by either the competing DJ or any of their group.
- Misuse of any equipment provided or venue facilities.
- Not being in position when it is your turn to perform without valid reason.
- Holding up proceedings without valid reason.
- Use of any misleading pre-recorded or pre-set pieces that could be miss-interpreted as your performance/skills on the night.
- Doing anything which tends to discredit or bring into disrepute the products or image of GModelo.
Number 24
All events dates are subject to change. GModelo shall not have any liability thereto related.
All the Participants shall attend all MOVIDA CORONA regional and/or national events or finals. The absence during the one of them disqualifies the Participant.
If for whatever circumstance the winner cannot attend the next stage, at the sole discretion of GModelo, one of the runner’s up may be offered the chance to compete as substitute.
Number 25
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Spain without giving effect to any choice-of-law or conflict-of- laws provisions or rules (Spanish, foreign or international) that would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than Spain.
All disputes concerning the validity, interpretation, enforcement, performance and termination of this Agreement shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Madrid, Spain.
NOTES:
*Latvia and Lithuania will select one representative only for both countries. The United Kingdom will send a representative per region (England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland).
** In case that a jury member is not available the local GModelo team will assign a replacement.
*** Prizes are confirmed for the finalists of parties implemented by the central agency. GModelo Europe will confirm the prizes for all other participating countries.

The music, photos or videos submitted may be accepted and/or posted on the website if deemed appropriate by GMODELO in its sole and absolute discretion. All the music, photos or videos submitted become the sole property of GMODELO and will not be returned. You must be 18 years of age or older to submit music, a photo or video.

This website is created and controlled by GMODELO in Spain and that exclusive jurisdiction resides in the courts of the city of Madrid.

TERMINATION OF USAGE
GMODELO may terminate your right to use this website, with or without any cause at any time in its sole discretion, including, but not limited to, your violation of these Terms and Conditions. In the event of termination, all representations, warranties, indemnifications and promises made by you shall endure.

GMODELO EUROPA, S.A.U. (henceforth “GMODELO” and/or “We”), respects the privacy of each individual who accesses our internet websites.
