WHAT IS MOVIDA CORONA?
MOVIDA CORONA 2011 is a European House Music DJ contest divided in three phases.
• Phase 1: Play-Off Rounds.
• Phase 2: National Finals.
• Phase 3: The European Grand Finale.
The aim of the contest is to identify and promote new talents in the European DJ scene.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
In order to take part in the contest all Participants must sign the following MOVIDA CORONA 2011 Terms and Conditions.
Number 1
MOVIDA CORONA is a House Music DJ mixing contest. No other styles, other than house music and its variations, are allowed due to the fact that MOVIDA CORONA promotes only DJs that fit into this style.
Number 2
Due to the fact that the event is sponsored by a premium beer brand, all participants must be 18 years old or older (unless the legal drinking age of the participating country differs, in which case the participants must be of legal age in this country and are subject to local laws).
Number 3
During the term of the contest and during all related exhibitions, press interviews, or practices, the Participant shall endorse CORONA EXTRA or CORONITA CERVEZA in Spain, CORONA LIGHT (in Mexico) and CORONA CERVEZA( in Turkey).
in accordance with such reasonable instructions as GModelo, the Promoter, may give from time to time, and the Participant undertakes to act accordingly.
Number 4
The Participant agrees that during the contest GModelo shall have the worldwide exclusive right, license and privilege, to use the names, nicknames, likenesses, videos, photographs, tracks, performance, or other reproductions of the Participant for the purpose of promotion, advertising and endorsement of MOVIDA CORONA and CORONA EXTRA (CORONITA CERVEZA in Spain, CORONA LIGHT (in Mexico) or CORONA CERVEZA( in Turkey)).
In consequence, all the Intellectual Property rights, titles, and interests, accrued in connection with the participation in MOVIDA CORONA by the Participant shall be transferred in exclusivity to GModelo. This transfer shall be made with no other limitation than those legally established and/or the reserve of authors’ moral rights. This transfer includes all the exploitation rights thereto related, including but not limited to the public reproduction, distribution and transformation of the materials.
No payment or fee shall be paid to the Participant for such transfer and/or licence.
Participant assures that the tracks submitted via Soundcloud for his participation in this contest have been created solely by the Participant, without the help and/or intervention of third parties, ceasing the rights for the usage of the tracks to GModelo.
The GModelo undertakes to ensure that Participant’s name, photographs, music, videos and reputation is not used in promotion, advertising or public relations activities, which are harmful or offensive.
Number 5
All Participants of MOVIDA CORONA shall be available for any international promotion and/or production (photography and music session) connected with this contest made by GModelo, Pachá and the promotion agencies associated with GModelo – JWT and El Señor Goldwind.
All reasonable costs relating to such activities, including travel and accommodation, will be agreed with each Participant in advance.
Number 6
Technical rider will be provided by the Venue.
Number 7
All sessions must be played in real time; no pre-recorded complete or partial sessions will be accepted.
Number 8
The organization shall not be responsible for any loss or damage of the Participant’s equipment.
Number 8 bis
For MOVIDA CORONA 2011 one of the finalists will be selected through Facebook, for which GModelo will launch an application called Facebook Chance.
DJs select a music session from their DJ profile on movidacorona.com to submit to the Application Facebook Chance. The winning DJ is the one most voted by internet users and he or she will proceed directly to the semi final.
DJs who have already participated and have been eliminated from the general Movida Corona competition may continue to participate in Facebook Chance.
The winner of Facebook Chance will go straight to the semi final and the prize will be the same as in a National Final, a trip to the European Grand Finale, flights, hotel and formal meals.
In the case that the winner of Facebook Chance is already the National Finalist of his country and will be sent to the semi final, GModelo will select the next DJ with most votes who is not a National Finalist.
The winner of Facebook Chance will be selected on: 01.10.2011
This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. By entering the competition you agree to release Facebook from any and all liability howsoever arising in connection with the competition.
Number 9
The performance of the DJ in the National Finals shall be 30 minutes.
Number 10
The semi final is split into two phases:
Morning:
The performance of the DJ in the first phase of the Semi Finals shall be 10 minutes
Evening:
The performance of the DJ in the second phase of the semi-final shall be 15 minutes
The performance of the DJ in the Grand Finale shall be 30 minutes
Number 11
There will be four (4) Participants in each National Final and three in the European Grand Finale.
Number 12
Only one candidate will be selected to represent each country in the European Semi-Final *.
Number 13
The three finalists for the Grand Finale will be selected during a pre-selection house style session of 10 minutes for each contestant, the first phase of the Semi Finals. After this a selection of 10 of the participants will participate in the second phase of the Semi final, playing 15 minutes each and from this phase the 3 finalists will be selected for the Grand Finale
Number 14
Each contestant will be judged based on three major categories: music selection, image/ public response and technique.
Number 15
The judges’ decision is final and there cannot be appeal and/or correspondence. The jury for 10 national finals of the following countries:
- France
- Austria
- England
- Rep. Of Ireland
- Germany
- Belgium/Luxembourg
- Sweden
- Italy
- Switzerland
- Greece
will be composed of***:
• Tour DJ (30% weight value of total score)
• GModelo Staff (15% weight value of total score)
• Club owner (15% weight value of total score)
• Pacha Recordings representative (40% weigh value of total score)
For the rest of the finals the jury will be composed of:
- GModelo Staff (60% weight value of total score)
- Club owner (40% weight value of total score)
Number 16
The winner of each national final will be announced before the end of the party.
Number 17
Each national final winner and his manager or the venue owner will receive a trip to the European Grand Finale (including Flights, Hotel Reservation and formal meals).
The Hotel Reservation is personal. As a consequence, GModelo shall not accept nor bear the costs for persons different to the national final winner and manager or venue owner.
The Hotel may require you to show them photo ID you may also need to provide a credit/debit card swipe to cover any extra bills you may run up on your room.
Number 18
The jury for the semi-final will be composed of***:
• Pacha representative (50% weight value of total score)
• Winner DJ 2010 (30% weight value of total score)
• Central Agency member (20% weight value of total score)
The jury for the European Grand Finale will be composed of:
• International Guest DJ (20% weight value of total score)
• Pacha representative (30% weight value of total score)
• Winner DJ 2010 (20% weight value of total score)
• Central Agency member (20% weight value of total score)
• And the Audience (interactive voting system) (10% weight value of total score)
Number 19
The prize for the winner of the Grand Finale will consist of 1 session as Dj in Pachá Ibiza, at the Funky room, participation in Movida Corona 2012 as tour DJ and coproducing 3 cd´s of Pachá recordings. Second and Third finalists will travel to Miami winter´s conference 2012.
As well, the 3 finalists will play at the electronic stage at Rock in Rio 2012
In case of unforeseen circumstances, GModelo reserves the discretional right of changing the prizes of the present contest for any prizes of similar characteristics.
Movida Corona aims to help launch the professional career of the winning DJ, as such through the contest GModelo commits with Grand Finale finalists (1st, 2nd and 3rd positions) to help them to play at the best clubs of house music in Europe.
Number 20
After the Grand Finale the three finalists, agree to play in the subsequent year, at least five (5) Sessions as “Official Movida Corona DJ”. The Sessions shall have absolute preference, and shall not conflict with any other events in which the finalist takes part.
Each Finalist, herein expressly agrees that no payment or fee shall be paid to him/her for playing in these Sessions.
Number 21
Participants are prohibited from drinking any other alcoholic brand in public other than CORONA EXTRA, CORONITA CERVEZA in Spain, CORONA LIGHT (in Mexico) or CORONA CERVEZA( in Turkey) at events organized by GModelo.
Number 22
The DJs shall act as “Goodwill Ambassadors” for CORONA EXTRA, CORONITA CERVEZA in Spain, CORONA LIGHT (in Mexico) and CORONA CERVEZA ( in Turkey)
The organization will reserve the right to disqualify any DJ in case of:
- Intimidation, obstruction or abuse of fellow DJ’s, venue staff, promotional staff, customers or Judges by either the competing DJ or any person related with him.
- Misuse of the equipment provided or the venue facilities.
- Not being in at his turn and ready to perform his session. Holding up proceedings without valid reason.
- Use of any misleading pre-recorded or pre-set pieces that could be misinterpreted as your performance/skills on the night.
- Carrying out any action which tends to discredit or bring into disrepute the products or image of GModelo.
Number 23
All events dates are subject to change. GModelo shall not have any liability thereto related.
All the Participants shall attend all MOVIDA CORONA Regional and/or National events or finals. The absence during one of them disqualifies the Participant.
This measure is subject to local rules.
If for whatever circumstance, the winner cannot attend the next stage, at the sole discretion of GModelo, one of the runner’s up may be offered the chance to compete as substitute.
All the participants of the National Finals, Quarter, semi-finals and Grand Finale must wear a branded T-shirt provided by GModelo.
Number 24
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Spain without giving effect to any choice-of-law or conflict-of- laws provisions or rules (Spanish, foreign or international) that would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than Spain.
All disputes concerning the validity, interpretation, enforcement, performance and termination of this Agreement shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Madrid, Spain.
All participants shall be responsible for ensuring that their entry and/or acceptance of the prize(s) does not contravene any local laws or regulations in the country in which they are resident. This competition shall be void where prohibited or restricted by law.
NOTES:
*Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania will select one representative only for the Grand Finale from all three countries.
**Belgium and Luxembourg will select only one representative for the Grand Finale from both countries.
*** In case that a jury member is not available the local GModelo staff will assign a replacement.

TERMINATION OF USAGE
GMODELO may terminate your right to use this website, with or without any cause at any time in its sole discretion, including, but not limited to, your violation of these Terms and Conditions. In the event of termination, all representations, warranties, indemnifications and promises made by you shall endure.
INDEMNITY
You agree to indemnify and exonerate GMODELO, its shareholders, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, agents, co-branders or other partners and employees from any claim or demand, including reasonable lawyers’ fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of content that you submit, post, transmit or make available through the website, your use of the website, your connection to the website, your violation of these Terms and Conditions or your violation of any third party’s rights.
